Hi,
Olá,
Moin.

I’m Alexandre Amaral, ACD/Senior Art Director living in Hamburg. I graduated in Advertising and Marketing
at ESPM University in Brazil before going on to officially start my career in 2004.

A few years later, I decided I was ready for a new challenge. So I packed up and worked across a few different Brazilian regions. During this time, I was responsible for creating campaigns for many clients nationally and internationally. Having spent some time earning my creative stripes, I was eventually made lead creative
of a talented team, an experience I relished and learned a lot from.

My biggest challenge arrived in 2016 when I decided to move from Brazil to Germany, to be part of Jung von Matt
as a Senior Integrated Art Director for their sports agency.

Mainly because I had to say goodbye to the love of my life, my Brazilian boyhood club: Grêmio Porto Alegre.
But also because the opportunity to be able to combine my advertising skills with my love of sports was simply
too good to turn down. In any case, I’ve now trained myself to wake up for the Grêmio 2 am matches anyway.
Don’t let anyone tell you, that you can’t have it all.

After wearing the iconic JVM/sports jersey for 5 successful seasons, I was scouted by a close rival from across the road: Jung von Matt/Next Alster. My heart said ‘No’ but my head said ‘Yes’. Swap football and fans for power tools and power cars sounds like a good contract too. The transfer went through without any hitches and I’ve since positioned myself as Senior Art for their most high profile clients: Bosch and BMW.

Over the last years, my work has also been recognized at many international award shows including Cannes Lions, D&AD and One Show. I’ve also worked with many iconic brands, just to mention a few: MTV, Netflix, Expedia, Ben
& Jerry’s, adidas, FIFA, DFB, Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy of Qatar, CDU, Bosch, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Hyundai.
